    Our Reflections on 2019

    Overleaf Team

Before 2019 disappears into the mists of time we thought it would be nice to reflect back on some of our personal highlights from the year. So if you’d like to know a bit more about us, see a dog in a shark outfit (?), and two really cute babies (!) - then read our blog post here!

Thinking of a Fresh Start for 2020?

Research suggests finding a new job is the biggest New Year’s resolution for 2020*.

Christmas and New Year breaks are often times when we get the chance to sit back and reflect on our lives, whether it’s driven by spending quality time with families or just taking time off work, it can start you thinking about making a change in 2020 and setting New Year resolutions.

If your resolution is to start looking for a new job or career, then we’ve got some great CV templates to help you make that perfect first impression!

You can also check out this amazing recreation of the Business Insider’s CV of Marissa Mayer - which is a great read even if you’re not looking for a new job!

    Download your 2020 LaTeX Calendars

To help you get organised for 2020, we’ve updated two of our popular calendars that you can download & print for your office desk or wall.

Both of these awesome calendars are available with thanks to Lian Tze, our community TeXpert, and you can find more calendar ideas and examples in the Overleaf gallery.

    New Customer Appreciation

As our userbase continues to grow, we are seeing more and more organisations support their members through institutional or group accounts, which are easy to set up and manage.

We now have over 70 institutional customers with Overleaf Commons, our cloud-based site licence, plus many more smaller group accounts in university departments and labs around the world.

We’ve also seen a growing use of Overleaf in commercial organisations and nonprofits, with many new teams starting to use Overleaf over the past month.

We’re delighted to feature: MAX IV Laboratory - Lund University

The MAX IV Laboratory is now providing Overleaf Collaborator accounts to staff to use for their technical documentation.

The MAX IV facility is the largest and most ambitious Swedish investment in research infrastructure and the brightest source of x-rays worldwide. Research takes place in areas such as materials science, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology.

If you’re interested in a Group or Institutional account for your organization or if you’d like to be highlighted in our next newsletter - please let us know!

Product Survey - Last Chance To Provide Input!

As we dive headfirst into 2020, we wanted to remind you about our product survey. We’ve already had a large number of responses, and thanks if you’ve already given your feedback. If not, grab that cup of coffee (or tea) and take 5 minutes to give us your thoughts.

Did You Spot Us? - Digital Science Christmas Video

Finally, did you spot us? Some of our team members had starring roles in the Digital Science Christmas video which celebrated the end of 2019, the International Year of the Periodic Table and updated the lyrics of Tom Lehrer’s famous Elements song, including all 118 known elements.
